Cost
This page answers one question: which costs less per month, daily or as-needed tadalafil? Per-pill prices for every program are in our generic Cialis cost guide, and every plan is on our tadalafil price page.
Daily vs as-needed: what a month costs
The as-needed columns multiply each program's published per-dose price by the number of uses (our arithmetic). The daily column is 30 tablets a month. Prices were read on each program's own page on October 31, 2026. How often you take tadalafil, and at what strength, is your prescriber's decision; this table compares prices only.

The break-even, in plain terms
At Rex MD, 30 daily tablets cost the same as nine as-needed doses. Below nine uses a month, as-needed is cheaper there. Above it, daily is cheaper. At Ro, where as-needed tadalafil is priced higher per dose, the break-even comes much sooner, but Ro does not publish a per-tablet daily price we could read: its pricing page shows a daily figure without a unit.
At Cost Plus Drugs the question barely matters. Tadalafil costs cents a tablet at any strength, so the per-order shipping charge is the main cost either way.
- FDA-approved and compounded
- No FDA warning letter found
- No state list published
What the label says about daily use
Daily tadalafil is not a different drug. The Cialis label covers both patterns: "CIALIS for Use as Needed for Erectile Dysfunction" and "CIALIS for Once Daily Use for Erectile Dysfunction", and says daily use is taken "without regard to timing of sexual activity" (DailyMed: Cialis label).
The same label lists a second approved use: "the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)". That matters for cost, because insurance and Medicare can treat tadalafil for BPH differently from tadalafil for ED. Our guide on insurance for ED medication explains how.
The label's most common side effects are "headache, dyspepsia, back pain, myalgia, nasal congestion, flushing, and pain in limb". Taking a tablet every day means living with those every day if you get them, which is a question for your prescriber, not a price table.
Who prescribes daily tadalafil online
- Rex MD lists "Daily Cialis" as generic tadalafil at a per-dose price, consult and shipping included (Rex MD).
- Lemonaid Health sells daily generic tadalafil per pill through its mail-order partner after a one-time consult, and can send the prescription to a local pharmacy instead (Lemonaid Health).
- Strut Health sells tadalafil in packs of doses, with a 90-day supply priced lower than 30 days (Strut).
- BlueChew sells DailyTAD, a compounded daily chewable. It is not an FDA-approved generic. The FDA told BlueChew in 2025 that "Compounded drug products are not FDA-approved." (FDA warning letter to BlueChew)
- Ro sells Daily Rise, a compounded gummy, at $69 a month on its 3-month plan, alongside its plain tablets.
None of the compounded daily products we found costs less per tablet than the cheapest plain generic tablet.
When daily makes sense on price
- You would use tadalafil often. Past the break-even, daily wins on cost at the programs above.
- You already have a prescription. At Cost Plus Drugs a month of daily tablets costs about what one program dose costs.
- You also have BPH symptoms. A prescriber may choose daily tadalafil for that reason, and coverage rules differ.
If you use it a few times a month, as-needed generic tadalafil or sildenafil usually costs less. Our guide to the cheapest ED medication online ranks every per-dose price.
Questions
FAQ
How much does daily tadalafil cost?
Daily generic tadalafil costs from $1.80 a tablet at Rex MD with the visit included, and about $0.20 a tablet at Cost Plus Drugs with your own prescription, before shipping. A 30-tablet month at Rex MD's price comes to roughly the cost of nine as-needed doses there.
Is daily Cialis cheaper than as-needed?
Daily is cheaper per month only above a certain number of uses. At Rex MD the crossover is about nine as-needed doses a month. At programs that charge more per as-needed dose, such as Ro at $11, daily wins sooner. Below the crossover, as-needed costs less.
Is daily tadalafil the same drug as Cialis?
Generic tadalafil tablets are FDA-approved as the same active drug as Cialis, and the Cialis label covers once-daily use for ED. Compounded daily chews and gummies are a different category and are not FDA-approved products.
Who prescribes daily tadalafil online?
Rex MD, Lemonaid Health and Strut Health all publish generic tadalafil prices, with Rex MD and Lemonaid listing a daily option by name. A licensed clinician at each program reviews your health history first and decides whether to prescribe and which pattern suits you.
Does insurance cover daily tadalafil?
Coverage depends on why it is prescribed. Medicare Part D excludes drugs used for ED, but tadalafil also carries an FDA approval for BPH symptoms, which Part D can cover. Online ED programs are cash only, and generic cash prices are often below a copay.
Can I get daily tadalafil without a subscription?
At Cost Plus Drugs there is no plan, but you need your own prescription. Lemonaid says its tadalafil refills can be cancelled any time, and Rex MD says you can pause or cancel any time. Every cutoff is in our guide to [cancelling an ED subscription](/guides/cancel-ed-subscription). Compare every tadalafil plan, all in, on our [ED price page](/cost/ed).
